The Best Photogenic Spots In Cambodia
Last Updated: November 26 2020
There are so many incredible places to see in Cambodia, and so many awesome photographs to be taken. When we first arrived in Cambodia, we started out in Siem Reap. We explored the city and visited Angkor Wat; then we headed off to Battambang. At first we were slightly disappointed with the photo opportunities in Cambodia, as we had just come from Thailand which had temples and beaches a plenty. However, this just encouraged us to get more creative with our photographs and we embraced the challenge. Here are the 5 instagrammable spots in Cambodia that we believe you must visit:
1. Angkor Wat
Everybody knows Angkor Wat, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Of course the area is always packed with tourists but we found it easy enough to find quieter spots hidden away. Of course the Angkor Wat complex doesn’t just include Angkor Wat; there are many more temples to explore here. We found that as the area is huge, the crowds seemed to spread out. If you can wait 20 minutes for the tour buses to leave, there are much better photo opportunities to be had. We know there are photography tours that can be taken here, but we are unsure of the quality and the price. Angkor Wat is probably one of the most famous instagrammable spots in Cambodia, and for good reason. To find out more about this amazing place, click here.

Koh Rong Sanloem is a tropical paradise, and is the perfect place to get those instagrammable shots in Cambodia. With crystal clear waters, white sands and lots of tropical fish it was a dream come true for us! There are no roads on this island, but you can take multiple paths throughout the island to get to different beaches. There are also boats that can take you to numerous spots on the island. The tropical vibes from your photos will make everybody jealous! If you want more information on this stunning place, click here.

4. Battambang
Upon arriving in Battambang it doesn’t look like much, but the gems are found outside the city centre. Tuk Tuk tours are cheap and easy to come across, and we found them to be a great way to get around. Pay a visit to the incredible bat cave, and the local temple on the hill and you won’t be disappointed with the views! You can see for miles, and the scenery is stunning. Also make sure you don’t forget about the famous Bamboo Train, it is the perfect place to get those Insta shots! For more information on Battambang’s famous Bamboo Train click here.

5. Siem Reap
Other than Angkor Wat, there are other places to visit in Siem Reap. If you are looking for a photogenic spot, make sure you visit Wat Preah Prom Rath. This Pagoda is incredible, and is a wonderful place to explore. There is also a park with hundreds of flying foxes, a type of fruit bat which is a cool place to visit. Also make sure to visit the waterfront and night markets too, as the culture is amazing.
